Like the friction of a match being struck, the pandemic has sparked a fissure in Blicero’s being. While gazing upon a sunny street scene below a tenement window in Glasgow, creating ‘iwanttogooutside’ was a coming to terms with an international crisis, a government-imposed grounding and a yearning for the outdoors.

Blicero explains; ‘The composition was my natural response to Covid-19 shagging my summer plans and being left in my flat all day. I was dealing with adjusting and coming to terms with how things were; just as Glasgow’s rare sun started to shine. I desperately wanted to make something that felt like we could move together to when this is all over. I really just wanted to fucking go outside.’
